As of late, we have been very discouraged about the dog food industry.  The more I read about it the more I feel that there must be a better way.

Within the last year or so my price for a premium dog food has increased 3 times.  I hear that it has to do with more automobiles using corn to fuel them.  Well, that really doesn't make any sense to me.  I try not to buy dog food with corn in it.  So when the economy is in the shape it's in, it is the dogs that must suffer.

Well, we are trying something different.  I have several dogs that just don't want to eat.  So as a result of the increase in the cost, and my 6 dogs that just don't want anything I give them, I have decided to start to feed them a raw diet.  I figure that if I am careful, I am able to cut the cost in half.  Not only that, I am giving them top quality food.  Actual, human grade food.  Whatever the label may say. we really do not know what is going into our dog food.  Now I do. 

I not only know what's in the food,  I can increase or decrease accordingly. 

I am starting out a little at a time to see how it works out.  Right now the work is really minimal and the ones that are getting it really love it.  So keep checking back with me, and I will let you know how it goes. 

We have started feeding our dogs raw.   We have decided to continue this.  So far everything is going great.  Hopefully this may help breeders, owners and especially are beloved babies.
